Job summary

Eventide Crete in Crete, NE is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to work PRN/as needed. This schedule includes a weekend and holiday rotation to ensure full resident coverage.

The CNA provides daily living assistance, supports admissions/discharges, follows care plans, and safeguards resident privacy under HIPAA. The role includes meal service, dining room cleanup, and light housekeeping to maintain a comfortable living environment.

Qualifications

• COMMUNICATION: Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language including medical terminology related to the job.
• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to access the work area and then safely perform the duties of the job. Vision and hearing within normal limits (with or without correction). Must have unrestricted lift/push/pull ability of 50 pounds, demonstrating strength and agility at Eventide’s discretion.
• AGE REQUIREMENT: At least age 18.
• EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• EXPERIENCE: 6 months experience as an aide or caregiver preferred.
• Credentials: CNA certification in good standing as demonstrated by inclusion on the Nebraska State Registry required. MA-40 certification preferred. If utilizing MA-40 certification, CPR is required. All certifications must be kept up to date at the expense of the employee. Must meet Eventide’s vaccination requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring/ambulation and continence.
• Assists with Senior/client admissions, discharges, transfers and orientation of new employees.
• Follows department protocol for submission of completed documentation.
• Prioritizes assignments, making adjustments throughout shift to meet frequently changing/overlapping Senior/client/caregiver/TEAMember/manager needs, call lights, when necessary.
• Performs work duties within the assigned work environment related to the position, as assigned by Eventide, regardless of TEAMember preference.
• Follows through on the comprehensive care plan/service plan as developed for each individual Senior/client.
• Complies with HIPAA regulations regarding privacy by insuring that Protected Health Information (PHI) is safeguarded at all times.
• Implements activities for the Seniors/clients.
• Prepares, plates and serves meals, snacks and other foods requested by/for/to Senior/client.
• Assists with cleanup of the dining room and is responsible for housekeeping and laundry duties as needed.
