Job summary

Sunnyside Communities in Martinsville, VA is seeking a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Memory Support Neighborhood to provide compassionate ADL support and care documentation.

The position runs 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM with every other weekend included. Applicants should have 80-hour geriatric nursing training (or be enrolled), a Virginia CNA license, CPR/First Aid, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 80-hour geriatric nursing certification completed or currently enrolled
• Virginia NACEP test after completion of 80-hour course
• Current Virginia CNA license
• CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
• Ability to multitask with attention to detail in a tense healthcare setting
• Strong customer service with hospitality approach

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, toileting and dining
• Document resident care and maintain accurate records
• Maintain a clean, safe, home-like environment and promote residents' rights
• Respond promptly to resident call bells and report changes to the nurse
