Job summary

Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital is seeking a part-time nursing assistant to support daily patient care in Med Surg IU 53. You will assist with activities of daily living, document vital signs, and help with admissions, transfers, and discharges under a supervising RN.

The role requires basic computer skills, good communication, and the ability to work a 7A–7P schedule with rotating weekends and holidays. Prior CNA or related experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills are required.
• Excellent oral and written communication is essential.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities are needed.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily patient care (bathing, hygiene, feeding, ambulation).
• Records vital signs and intake/output in EMR; maintains accurate documentation.
• Performs rounding, communicates observations to RN, and assists with admissions/transfers/discharges.
