Job summary

Illinois Central College is seeking adjunct faculty to teach day, evening and weekend CNA courses on Peoria Campus, on campus, off campus, or online. If courses are available, adjuncts may continue to teach for future semesters.

The adjunct faculty are primarily responsible for providing quality teaching and learning opportunities for students within assigned class, lab, and/or clinical settings. Adjunct faculty must adhere to Illinois Department of Public Health rules, program standards, and

Qualifications

Must hold an Illinois Professional registered nurse license and current RN licensure.
Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

Adhere to instructional syllabus for teaching assigned courses/course content and clearly communicate course schedule, expectations and student learning outcomes.
Ensure a positive teaching learning environment, provide availability of materials and tools, and adhere to safety standards.
Provide grading rubrics and timely feedback for assignments, maintain student grades in Canvas, record attendance, and submit grades.
Maintain office hours and availability for students.
Maintain professional, positive, effective communication.
Collaborate with Program Manager and faculty to identify barriers and resolve issues for student success.
Participate in department and college committees and meetings when possible.
Contribute to curriculum planning and improvement to enhance student learning.
Engage in professional development to improve teaching knowledge.
