Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Miller, SD to provide resident-centered care during day shifts. You will support basic nursing tasks under RN supervision and help residents with daily living activities in a long-term care setting.

The position is part-time with a 24-hour weekly schedule and a sign-on bonus eligible opportunity. A CNA certification is required, and ongoing education credits are encouraged to maintain competencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• CNA certification with State Board of Nursing required, or state certified CNA in progress/Endorsement.
• Continuing education credits; a minimum of 12 hours annually.
• Possibly licensed as Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) where applicable.
• May classify as Sanford Category II Driver if required, with motor vehicle report and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and recording vital signs.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, and walking using proper techniques and equipment.
• Support meals: food prep, dining, hydration, and supplements as appropriate.
• Assist with wellness and recreational programs and document resident interactions.
