Job summary

Good Samaritan in Miller, SD is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care under the supervision of an RN. The role includes basic nursing duties, daily living assistance, and documenting care activities as part of the long-term care team.

Candidates should be 16 or older, have or be pursuing CNA certification, and complete required trainings annually. The position is part-time with day shift options, and a comprehensive benefits package is available for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Minimum age of 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required or in process within four months.
• Annual competency testing with 12 hours CE required.
• May be eligible for Sanford Driver responsibilities where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with basic health care needs including bathing, toileting, grooming, and vital signs.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, ROM, and meals to support dining experience.
• Document resident interactions and changes; communicate to charge nurse.
• Support wellness programs and assist with housekeeping and laundry as needed.
