Job summary

Osceola Medical Center is seeking a Part Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Osceola, WI to coordinate and deliver patient care under supervision. Qualifications

• Nursing Assistant with current Wisconsin Certification or ability to obtain prior to start date.
• BLS certified.
• Prefer 1 year Med/Surg or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Observes, collects, and documents patient information obtained while providing care and promptly report significant changes in the patient's condition to a registered nurse or physician.
• Assist patients with routine activities of daily living (ADL) such as bathing, dressing, feeding and assisting with ambulation as outlined in plan of care
• Maintains an effective clinical work environment including cleaning the work area, changing linens, maintaining and monitoring supply levels, and transporting patients / specimens throughout hospital.
• Assist patients and their families during admission to the clinical area, orientation to the hospital/clinic/home health experience, and discharge.
• Provides care/treatments to patients as outlined in plan of care including monitoring vital signs, measuring height/weight, specimen collection, catheter care, capillary blood glucose checks, range-of-motion exercises, drain care.
• Ensures competency in all required skills and completes competency assessment annually per the documented competency checklist.
