Job summary

Osceola Medical Center is seeking a Part-Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to coordinate and deliver patient care under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor or Med/Surg RN.

Requirements include current Wisconsin CNA certification or eligibility and BLS; prior Med/Surg or hospital experience is preferred. The role involves direct patient care, ADL assistance, and participation in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Nursing Assistant with current Wisconsin Certification or the ability to obtain prior to the start date.
• BLS certified.
• Prefer 1 year Med/Surg or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Observes, collects, and documents patient information obtained while providing care and promptly report significant changes in the patient's condition to a registered nurse or physician.
• Assist patients with routine activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding and assisting with ambulation as outlined in plan of care.
• Maintains an effective clinical work environment including cleaning the work area, changing linens, maintaining and monitoring supply levels, and transporting patients / specimens throughout hospital.
• Assist patients and their families during admission to the clinical area, orientation to the hospital/clinic/home health experience, and discharge.
• Provides care/treatments to patients including monitoring of vital signs, measurement of height and weight, specimen collection, catheter care, capillary blood glucose checks, range-of-motion exercises, and drain care.
