Job summary

Missouri Baptist Medical Center, part of BJC HealthCare, is seeking a part-time CNA to join the Progressive Care Unit. You will provide direct patient care under the guidance of registered nurses, assist with activities of daily living, and help ensure a safe, healing environment for patients.

The role supports post-operative cardiovascular and thoracic patients in a 16-bed unit, with day shift hours from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., 24 hours per week, and rotation requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to provide direct patient care and support licensed nurses.
• Capable of documenting patient information accurately and timely.
• Knowledge of ADLs, vitals, and basic clinical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Implements direct patient care under nurse supervision, assists with ADLs and vital signs.
• Collects patient data and reports changes to the nurse.
• Assists with patient education and safety monitoring.
• Ensures supplies and equipment are ready for use.
• Supports patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
