Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach the didactic and lab portions of the CNA HLHS 107 course in Indiana. The role involves delivering classes, preparing syllabi and materials, and maintaining student records. You will employ technology to enhance learning while upholding FERPA and safety standards.

The adjunct position is part-time and offered on an as-needed basis each semester, aligned with college policies and course objectives.

Qualifications

• Is a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse licensed and in good standing in Indiana.
• Has a minimum of one year of licensed nursing experience.
• Has completed Indiana Department of Health Train-the-Trainer.
• One of the following: adult learning theory training or a Workplace Specialist License from the Indiana Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned CNA HLHS 107 classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
• Utilize technology to enhance instructional methods.
• Develop/maintain course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests and materials; maintain records and grades.
• Engage with students to foster a positive learning experience and implement active classroom teaching strategies.
• Interact professionally with students and colleagues and comply with College policies and FERPA.
