Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College in Indiana is seeking adjunct nursing faculty to deliver courses per a shared syllabus and College policy, and to create engaging learning environments that support student goals.

Responsibilities include developing outlines, grading, maintaining records, and ensuring safe classroom operations, with emphasis on diversity, active teaching strategies, and FERPA compliance; a master’s in nursing or current MSN plans are preferred along with an Indiana RN license.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity of people, styles and views.
• Experience in nursing education or clinical instruction is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned nursing classes per syllabus and College policy.
• Develop/maintain course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments and tests.
• Maintain accurate student records and grades.
• Engage with students to foster active learning and a positive experience.
