Job summary

Gurwin Healthcare System is a full healthcare continuum on a 36-acre campus in Commack, NY, including a 460-bed nursing and rehabilitation center and affiliated services. We are seeking CNAs for part-time roles with every other weekend schedules (Sat/Sun) across all shifts.

A $1,250 sign-on bonus is offered for part-time CNAs hired. Qualified candidates will hold current NYS Nurse Aide Registry certification; prior long-term care experience and CPR are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current certification in New York State Nurse Aide Registry (not expired or lapsed).
• No findings or convictions of resident abuse, mistreatment, exploitation, neglect, or misappropriation of resident property listed on the Registry against them.

Responsibilities

• Assists with personal care and ADLs under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Bed baths, showers, perineal care, oral hygiene, and feeding assistance as required.
• Maintains resident areas and assists with admission and discharge procedures.
• Answering residents' call lights and performing errands for the nursing unit.
• Observes and reports changes in patient condition to the team leader or charge nurse.
