Job summary

Gurwin Healthcare System is seeking compassionate CNAs to join our long‑term care team in Commack, NY. We offer full‑time evening (3:00 pm–11:15 pm) and night (11:00 pm–7:15 am) shifts, plus part‑time options across all hours, with a $2,500 sign‑on bonus for full‑time and $1,250 for part‑time is available for eligible clinical staff.

CNAs will assist with activities of daily living under the supervision of a licensed nurse, maintain resident areas, document changes in condition, and support

Qualifications

• Current certification in New York State Nurse Aide Registry (not expired or lapsed).
• No findings or convictions of resident abuse, mistreatment, exploitation, neglect, or misappropriation of resident property listed on the Registry.
• One year long-term care experience and CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with personal care and Activities of Daily Living under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Bed baths, showers, tub baths and shampoos, perineal care, oral hygiene, hair and nail care.
• Toileting assistance: bed pans, urinals, nourishment, feeding and escorting residents to dining room.
• Maintains non-patient areas in neat, orderly condition; assists with admissions and discharges.
• Responds to residents' call lights and performs errands as needed.
• Observes and reports changes in resident condition to the nurse; records intake/output, vitals, and specimens.
