Job summary

Gurwin Healthcare System on Long Island, NY, is seeking CNAs for weekend scheduling with shifts from 7:00am-3:15pm, 3:00pm-11:15pm and 11:00pm-7:15am. Positions involve assisting geriatric residents under a licensed nurse and require NYS Nurse Aide Registry certification.

One year LTC experience and CPR certification are preferred. EOE M/F/D/V. We offer a dynamic work environment and competitive pay on Long Island.

Qualifications

• Current NYS Nurse Aide Registry certification.
• One year long-term care experience and CPR certification preferred.
• No findings or convictions of abuse, mistreatment, exploitation, neglect, or misappropriation on the Registry.

Responsibilities

• Assists with personal care and activities of daily living under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Maintains clean non-patient areas and assists with admissions/discharges.
• Responds to call lights and assists with errands and meals as needed.
• Observes and reports changes in resident condition to the charge nurse.
