Job summary

Milton Hershey School is seeking a part-time Certified Medical Assistant to join its on-campus health services team. You will support RNs in caring for PreK–12 students in a 40-bed health center and in school-based clinics, handling admissions, discharges, and transport to off-campus appointments.

The role averages 24–29 hours weekly with shifts mainly 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m., every other weekend, and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• Certification from a state-approved Medical Assistant training program or equivalent.
• At least one year of nursing aide care experience in a hospital, clinic, or residential facility.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Valid PA driver’s license in good standing.
• OSHA trained — blood-borne pathogens.
• Ability to lift and assist students and maintain confidentiality.
• Commitment to high-quality care for children and youth.

Responsibilities

• Assist registered nurses to provide health care to students from PreK–12 in a 40-bed Health Center and school clinics.
• Support admissions and discharge procedures for students and transport them to medical appointments off campus when needed.
• Provide care during emergencies and maintain careful patient records and confidentiality.
• Follow school and health services policies and cooperate with the health team.
