Job summary

A Plus Urgent Care is seeking a Part-Time Certified Medical Assistant at our Kalmia location in California. The role covers patient care duties including interviewing, measuring vitals, venipuncture, documentation in EMR, and assisting at the front desk as required.

The candidate should hold a Medical Assistant Certificate, have one year of experience, and be familiar with medical terminology. Must attend mandatory meetings and work two major holidays; schedule varies, including weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion and one year experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Familiarity with medical terminology required.
• Experience with patient check-in and check-out process (clinic protocol).
• General medical office procedures.
• Understand end of day cash balancing and charge reconciliation process (clinic protocol).

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and record vital signs.
• Venipuncture and procedures as directed by the physician within scope.
• Document in EMR per IPM guidelines.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations.
• Assist in front desk coverage as needed.
• Attend mandatory meetings and work at least 2 major holidays.
• Weekend and weekday schedule as posted.
