Job summary

CALRegional in Live Oak, TX is seeking a part-time Clinical Medical Assistant Lead Instructor to guide students through an 8-10 week program. No teaching experience required; you will lead labs, grade assignments, and mentor learners during weekday mornings.

You should have 5 years medical assisting experience, familiarity with A&P, terminology, pharmacology, and medical math, plus front and back-office skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a directly related field.
• Familiar with anatomy & physiology (A&P), Medical Terminology, Basic Pharmacology, and Medical Math.
• Front office experience; back-office procedures including EKG, urine, vitals, BP, temperature checks, injections, adult-pediatric care, minor wound care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exemplary instruction following an established course outline.
• Facilitate skill labs and guide student practice.
• Grade class assignments and exams.
• Mentor students and hold them accountable to program standards.
• Maintain current subject matter knowledge and professional conduct.
• Ensure use of effective teaching/learning strategies.
