The Psychiatric Institute of Washington (PIW) is seeking a licensed Clinical Psychologist to join our Psychology team for a part-time role at an inpatient behavioral health unit in Washington, DC.

The successful candidate will provide individual and group psychotherapy, clinical assessments, supervision of externs and postdoctoral fellows, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Psy.D. from APA-accredited program.
• Current DC license as Clinical Psychologist.
• Experience with severe and persistent mental illness.
• Experience leading psychotherapy groups.
• Experience supervising psychology trainees.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• CPR/BLS certification.

Responsabilités

• Lead and co-lead psychotherapy groups for adults.
• Provide supervision to psychology externs and postdoctoral fellows.
• Support individual psychotherapy and assessments as needed.
• Provide clinical and administrative consultation to treatment teams.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for individualized treatment plans.
• Review and approve clinical documentation and progress notes.
• Participate in Psychology Department leadership and training activities.
• Contribute to teaching and other psychology services.
