Job summary

Tennessee College of Applied Technology Nashville seeks a part-time Clinical Instructor for the Practical Nursing Program. This adjunct role supports clinical learning experiences and requires passing a background check.

The instructor will plan and initiate clinical activities, maintain student records, and evaluate performance under the program coordinator. A TN RN license, an associate degree (BSN preferred), and at least three years of RN experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess an associate degree in nursing; BSN degree preferred.
• Must hold a current Registered Nursing license in the State of Tennessee.
• Minimum of three years’ recent work experience in patient care nursing at the RN level.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Must possess the communication skills necessary to be an effective teacher.
• Must show evidence of good character, organizational skills, and mature attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, and initiating clinical learning experiences in the clinical setting under the direction of the program coordinator.
• Maintain student records for documentation and evaluation of clinical performance.
