Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time Nursing faculty member to deliver high-quality instruction, provide academic advisement to students, and contribute to the ongoing development of the Nursing curriculum. This role will focus on evening class offerings, with hours and classes to be determined.

On-campus presence is required, including evening hours from 3–11 pm and daytime meetings as needed, with flexibility for location across college sites.

Qualifications

• Must hold a master’s degree in nursing.
• At least 2 calendar years of full-time RN clinical experience.
• Evidence of training in teaching and learning for adult education; curriculum development, implementation and evaluation.
• Compliance with NC Board of Nursing Administrative Faculty Rule 21 NCAC 36.0318.

Position Description

Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a full-time faculty member in the Nursing program. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, providing academic advisement to students, and contributing to the continuous improvement and development of the Nursing curriculum. This position will be primarily focused on our evening class offerings. Hours and classes are TBD.

A full-time faculty member is expected to maintain high standards of professionalism and academic standards. At least 40 hours per week are to be spent in the following: direct instruction; preparation and evaluation of instruction; accessibility to students; committee assignments; advising and service to the college and community. Faculty may be assigned a teaching schedule that includes any college location, and at times that meet student, program, and college needs. Must be willing to be on campus and in the clinical setting during the evening hours between 3 – 11 pm and attend meetings during the daytime as needed.
