Qualifications

• Illinois RN License will be required to teach all courses (priority for licensed instructors).
• Active BLS certification (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network).
• At least two years professional experience within last five years in instruction as a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

• Implements the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service.
• Plans clinical experiences and provides direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students.
• Evaluates and provides documented feedback to students on performance based on course objectives.
• Orients and maintains current knowledge related to agency policies and expectations.
• Develops and posts written clinical assignments aligned with student knowledge and skills.
• Keeps course coordinator informed of student and agency issues and concerns.
• May teach didactic content under supervision of the course coordinator.
