Job summary

CALRegional is seeking a part-time Clinical Medical Assistant Skills Assistant to join our team at Oakland Adult School in Oakland, CA. No teaching experience is required, and the role supports healthcare training for students.

The position offers hourly pay between $20.00 and $25.00 with opportunities for bonuses and flexible scheduling. Ideal candidates are energetic, organized, and capable of mentoring students while maintaining professionalism.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a directly related field is required.
• Familiar with A&P, Medical Terminology, Basic Pharmacology and Medical Math.
• Front office experience is required.
• Back office procedures EKG, Urine, Vitals, BPs, Temps, Injections, Adult-Pediatric, minor wound care and bandaging experience.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Advanced student learning through exemplary instruction by following an established course outline.
• Assist in student learning outcomes.
• Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter area and effective teaching/learning strategies.
• Maintain appropriate standards of professionalism and conduct.
• Facilitate all required skill labs with an assistant skill instructor
• Grade class assignments and exams.
