Job summary

CALRegional is seeking a part-time Clinical Medical Assistant Skills Assistant in San Jose, CA to support healthcare training for aspiring professionals. The role emphasizes hands-on skill labs, student mentorship, and adherence to course outlines while working evenings on Monday and Wednesday.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of MA experience, CPR certification, familiarity with A&P, Medical Terminology, and Medical Math, plus front and back-office skills.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a directly related field.
• Familiar with A&P, Medical Terminology, Basic Pharmacology and Medical Math.
• Front office experience.
• Back office procedures EKG, Urine, Vitals, BPs, Temps, Injections, Adult-Pediatric, minor wound trays, and bandaging experience.

Responsibilities

• Aid student learning through exemplary instruction by following an established course outline.
• Aid in student learning outcomes.
• Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter area and effective teaching/learning strategies.
• Maintain appropriate standards of professionalism and conduct.
• Aid all required skill labs with the Lead instructor.
