Southeastern Community College (NC) seeks a part-time Clinical Medical Assistant Instructor to educate students in clinical and administrative duties of medical assisting and prepare them for certification and entry-level employment.

The instructor delivers lectures, hands-on lab demonstrations, and simulations across in-person and online formats, ensuring alignment with program objectives and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Current certification as NCMA, RMA, CCMA or current LPN/RN licensure required.
• Minimum two years of experience in a relevant healthcare practice setting.
• Completion of a course in teaching adults or experience teaching adults.
• Experience with distance learning or online instructional delivery is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate and train students in clinical and administrative duties of medical assisting to prepare them for certification and entry-level employment.
• Provide quality educational experiences that develop knowledge and skills to perform tasks safely and competently.
• Develop and deliver lectures, conduct hands-on lab demonstrations, and facilitate simulations in areas like medical terminology, phlebotomy, vital signs, injections, and EHR.
• Facilitate learning in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings and support student achievement in all assigned courses.
• Coordinate clinical experiences at area physician offices, hospitals, and other healthcare agencies; maintain documentation and equipment.
