Qualifications

• Current certification as NCMA, RMA, or CCMA, or licensure as LPN/RN.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a relevant healthcare practice setting.
• Completion of a course in teaching adults or experience in teaching adults.

Responsibilities

• Educate and train students in clinical and administrative medical assisting duties.
• Develop and deliver lectures and conduct hands-on laboratory demonstrations.
• Coordinate and supervise student clinical experiences at area physician offices, hospitals, and other appropriate healthcare agencies.
• Apply current healthcare practices and utilize a variety of instructional strategies in classroom, laboratory, and clinical learning environments.
• Assist with the development, implementation, and expansion of Clinical Medical Assistant courses, including online and other delivery formats.
• Maintain professional competency through review of current literature and participation in professional development.

Skills

License as NCMA/RMA/CCMA or RN/LPN

2+ years healthcare experience
