Southeast New Mexico College in Carlsbad, NM seeks an Adjunct Instructor – Medical Assistant to prepare students for clinical experiences and develop skills in laboratory and clinical settings. You will oversee rotations, assess students, and communicate with clinical partners and preceptors.

The role requires teaching ability, current Medical Assistant competency, and the capacity to work 8–12 hours per week, with evening/weekend instruction as needed. This is a part-time, temporary position.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Medical Assisting, Nursing, Allied Health, or related field, or current CMA/RMA credential.
• Minimum two years of documented recent healthcare experience performing, supervising, or teaching relevant clinical and/or administrative procedures.

Responsabilités

• Teaches Medical Assisting theory and provides clinical and/or laboratory instruction.
• Assists with curriculum development, implementation, evaluation, and revision.
• Assumes duties of faculty, including evening and weekend instruction as needed.
• Evaluates student achievement of course objectives and learning outcomes.
• Participates in program and department assessment activities.
• Provides student advising and academic guidance.
• Engages with clinical partners and preceptors to ensure student readiness.
• May participate in faculty recruitment and interview activities.
• Supports program needs including clinical site partnerships and NCCT certification preparation.
