Job summary

Duly Health and Care is seeking a part-time Medical Laboratory Technician to work 24 hours per week in Tinley Park. The role involves rotating shifts from 6am to 9:30pm on weekdays and weekends in a busy hospital laboratory setting.

The MT will perform analytical testing across chemistry, hematology, coagulation, microbiology and urinalysis, with responsibility for specimen labeling, processing and data entry into the laboratory information system.

Qualifications

• The MT performs analytical testing on chemistry, hematology, coagulation, microbiology, and urinalysis according to lab policies.
• Ability to analyze test results for accuracy and to troubleshoot issues with instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Collects, receives and processes specimens; ensures proper labeling and handling.
• Operates analyzers and tests; maintains QA and follows CLIA/regulatory guidelines.
• Prepare and maintain reagents and controls; notify supervisor of shortages or problems.
• Reports results in the LIMS within stated turnaround times.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or clinical laboratory science
