Job summary

Optum is seeking a Laboratory Technician to manage laboratory services in line with CLIA guidelines. The role collaborates with Theratest leadership and clinical staff to ensure safe handling, testing, quality assurance, and compliant operations.

The technician will perform testing using the DSX by Dynex, establish QC parameters, participate in proficiency testing, and train personnel. This full-time position includes standard hours and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Laboratory Sciences or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in laboratory services.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient testing on the DSX by Dynex.
• Establish the laboratory test performance characteristics (precision/accuracy).
• Enroll in HHS approved proficiency testing program and maintain QC.
• Establish quality control program and acceptable analytic performance levels.
• Ensure corrective actions are taken before reporting patient results.
• Evaluate competency of testing personnel through direct observation and records.
