Continuing Life LLC seeks a part-time Clinical Coach (DON) to travel California, guiding clinical staff and ensuring top-tier resident care. The role supports the full-time Clinical Coach and oversees EMR processes (Point Click Care) while maintaining confidentiality.

Requires 5+ years as a DON, BSN/MSN preferred, AANAC certification, and the ability to travel up to 75%. Base locations include Southern California options with strong regulatory knowledge and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years as a Director of Nursing (DON) in a skilled nursing facility.
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• Working knowledge of State and Federal regulations and the survey process.
• RCFE license preferred.
• Expert level knowledge of the MDS and RAIs (RAI) process.
• Current driver’s license and access to a personal car.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of time to California locations (primarily Southern California).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to facilitate group presentations.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office and Point Click Care; ability to learn new apps.

Responsabilités

• Maintains up to date knowledge of Federal and State regulations for SNF and RCFE care.
• Participates in troubleshooting with leadership to minimize risk.
• Supports nursing leadership with staff development and policy implementation.
• Audits nursing records and ensures retention compliance.
• Screens applicants for nurse management positions.
• Keeps abreast of clinical trends in the senior living industry.
• Assists with survey preparation, plan of correction, and action monitoring.
• Maintains confidentiality of information from residents and staff.
• Assists with EMR system implementation, maintenance, and action plans.
• Acts as temporary interim DON during vacancies or extended leaves.
• Protects privacy of residents and employees.
