Job summary

A&A Maintenance Enterprise, Inc. in Mansfield Center, CT, is seeking a part-time janitorial assistant for the 2nd shift to provide day-to-day cleaning and maintenance services.

Responsibilities include restroom cleaning, trash collection, floor care, window cleaning, dusting, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures. Shift is Monday to Friday, 6:30 pm–8:30 pm.

Qualifications

• Duties include cleaning restrooms and common areas.
• Operate cleaning machinery and use chemical cleaners safely.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum floors.
• Dust and wipe furniture, walls, equipment.
• Collect and empty trash.
• Monitor safety and security practices.

Job Skills / Requirements

Further this role will encompass the following responsibilities:

• Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
