Job summary

Milwaukee Area Technical College seeks part-time faculty to teach Civil Engineering courses across daytime and evening slots at multiple MATC campuses, with online and virtual modalities available. Qualifications

• Two years (4,000 hours) of work experience in Civil Engineering or Technology.
• One year of teaching Civil Engineering course work at the post-secondary level within the last five years.
• Surveying Engineering experience highly preferred.
• Professional Engineer and Land Surveyor license from the State of Wisconsin is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and deliver instruction and teaching-related activities.
• Manage the classroom/laboratory.
• Develop curriculum and monitor and revise as appropriate to maintain course effectiveness.
• Manage equipment, supplies and materials.
• Assess student performance.
• Advise students on academic issues.
• Collaborate with advisory committee in program/department area.
• Attend departmental and institutional meetings.
• Promote the program and assist in recruitment and retention of students.
