LOCATION: Green Bay, WI. Position requires availability to instruct on campus and in flexible delivery modes.

COURSE OFFERINGS: There are a variety of classes being offered in fall semester. Please review the class information and indicate what you would be interested in teaching on your resume. SALARY: $45.00 per class hour contracted

Position Summary

Essential Functions

Responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering instruction and assessment of learning outcomes.
Utilize engaging instructional strategies and methodologies which foster student success both in and outside of the classroom.
Maintain accurate student records and communication.
Advise and support students as a mentor and role model in the achievement of their learning and career goals. This includes being accessible to students outside of scheduled classroom time.
Provide educational leadership and work effectively with faculty, administration, and campus support staff.
Maintain Faculty Quality Assurance System requirements and licensure required by other agencies to maintain individual and program accreditation.
Comply with College policies and practices related to instruction, assessment, and delivery.
Additional duties and responsibilities will be discussed as needs arise.

Obtain continuing education to maintain Professional Engineering license.
Maintain construction materials lab and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications and Work Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
Five years direct occupational experience. At a minimum, occupational experience has to have occurred at least 1 year within the last 5 years.
Licensure as a professional engineer in the State of Wisconsin (or the ability to obtain licensure within six months of employment).
Experience in geotechnical and construction materials engineering, inspection, and field/laboratory testing.
Ability to lift 50 to 75 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous teaching experience with adult learners is preferred
An educational emphasis in geotechnical and/or construction materials
Industry certification (ACI, HTCP, etc.) in areas of materials testing
A basic understanding and ability to use AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Experience maintaining and calibrating soil and materials testing equipment
Microsoft Office Word and Excel proficiency
Experience as a Civil Engineering Technician (other than internship experience).

Extended Sitting: Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer or attending meetings

Manual Dexterity: Proficiency in using hands and fingers to handle or operate office equipment, tools, or controls.
Visual and Auditory: Ability to read documents and communicate effectively with students and staff.
Light Lifting: Capability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
