Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Civil Engineer to support design development for earthwork, drainage, roads, and foundations for DOD/USAF projects in Knoxville. The role requires collaboration with civil engineers and other disciplines in a team environment.

This is a part-time telework position with at least three days in-person per week at the office or project site, with schedules set in consultation with leadership.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Pass the Engineer in Training (EIT) exam or obtain EIT within 12 months of hire.
• Proficient with Civil3D, Mathcad and common computer programs; knowledge of Bechtel standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop civil/sitework/earthwork/drainage design and drawings.
• Perform formal calculations and drawings.
• Review existing conditions and as-built drawings.
• Review subcontractor data and integrate into design solutions.
• Develop design configuration packages for change management and procurement.
• Develop design specifications for construction and procurement.
• Execute to schedule while maintaining quality.
• Coordinate with other disciplines as an integrated team.
