Job summary

Olgcstx is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair church buildings, grounds and equipment. This 20-hour-a-week role runs Tuesday through Friday with schedule to be determined, and includes light front office assistance as needed.

Responsibilities include establishing a work order system, inspecting facilities, performing painting, basic plumbing and carpentry, safeguarding premises, ordering supplies, and adhering to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in maintenance or related field.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver license, and clean driving record.
• Detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, able to work independently and on a team.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Establish a work order system and maintain it.
• Inspect buildings and facilities and initiate repairs as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and use tools and equipment safely.
• Correct unsafe conditions and report issues to supervisor.
• Lock, check, and safeguard facilities.
• Conduct inventory and order tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to organizational policies.
• Perform general maintenance including painting, light fixtures, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Handle front office tasks and greet visitors as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the Pastor.
