Job summary

The Maple St. YMCA is seeking a part-time Childwatch Attendant in Omaha, NE. You will supervise and engage children ages 6 weeks to 8 years, plan activities, and liaise with parents to ensure a safe, welcoming environment.

Requirements include minimal age 16+, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse groups. Training and background checks are required prior to and during employment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people; bilingual capability is helpful.
• Must complete program-specific and abuse prevention trainings before and after hire.
• Must pass background check and related policies.

Responsibilities

• Organizes, plans, and executes activities for participating children.
• Cultivates positive relationships with parents, children, and staff; communicates effectively.
• Adheres to safety and cleanliness standards and YMCA policies.
• Performs attendance and other required program records.
• Supports fundraising, family nights, and staff trainings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
