Job summary

Westview YMCA in Bennington, NE is seeking a part-time Childwatch Attendant to supervise and engage children ages 6 weeks to 8 years while parents participate in Y activities.

You will build positive relationships with children and caregivers, follow safety guidelines, assist with program activities, and maintain records in a friendly, inclusive environment. Evening or weekend shifts may be required, and being part of a supportive YMCA team offers growth and a chance to serve the community.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to work with children age 6 weeks – 8 years.
• Possess excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people; bilingualability helpful.

Responsibilities

• Organizes, plans, and executes activities for participating children.
• Cultivates positive relationships and communicates with parents, children and staff.
• Adheres to program standards including safety and cleanliness.
• Follows YMCA policies, including abuse prevention and emergencies.
• Maintains program records including attendance.
• Supports fundraising, attends family nights and staff trainings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
