Right At School is hiring Educators to lead before/after school, summer, and break camp activities at partner schools. You will guide activities, ensure a safe environment, and build relationships with students to support learning and development on site.

The role offers part-time school-based hours with a Monday–Friday split shift, and pays $18–$20 per hour based on education and experience. This position provides valuable experience in education and child development while working in a

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 (preferred).
• Comfortable leading groups of children in activities and games.
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills with both children and adults.
• Reliable and punctual; able to commit to a consistent part-time schedule.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in students at the start of each session; take attendance and maintain accurate records.
• Plan and lead daily activities, games, and enrichment lessons appropriate for the age group you're working with.
• Facilitate homework time and support with academic tasks as needed.
• Supervise students during free play, snack time, and transitions, ensuring a safe and structured environment.
• Address minor conflicts or behavior issues using positive guidance techniques.
• Communicate with parents/guardians at pick-up and drop-off regarding their child's day.
• Report incidents, injuries, or safety concerns to your Program Manager or site lead promptly; log incident reports.
• Set up and clean up program space and materials each day.
• Attend brief daily team meetings to coordinate with other staff.

As an Educator, you'll work directly with kids - leading activities, facilitating a safe and structured environment, and building relationships - while gaining valuable experience in education and child development.

Pay Rate: $18-20 per hour (based on education and experience)

Program Hours: Monday-Friday Split Shift,

• Before School: 6:15-9:30am Tue- Fri (Mon only 6:15 am-1025am)
• After School: 3:00pm-6pm Mon-Fri

What You'll Do

What We’re Looking For

• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 (preferred)
• Comfortable leading groups of children in activities and games
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills with both children and adults
• Reliable and punctual; able to commit to a consistent part-time schedule
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout a shift
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to support additional program locations if needed

Washington State Requirements

• First Aid and hands-on CPR
• Cleared tuberculosis (TB) test
• Food Handlers Card
• Proof of MMR
• 18+ years of age
• Proof of High School diploma/GED required
• Background Check with fingerprinting
