Right At School is hiring an Educator to work directly with kids at partner schools in Washington. You’ll lead activities, supervise students, and support homework time in a safe, structured environment.

This role offers part-time morning and afternoon shifts at local schools, with opportunities to grow skills in education and child development. The position emphasizes teamwork, reliable attendance, and positive behavior guidance.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
• Comfortable leading groups of children in activities and games.
• Outstanding customer service and communication with children and adults.
• Reliable and punctual; able to commit to a consistent part‑time schedule.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand, walk, bend, and kneel during shift.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to support additional program locations if needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in students at the start of each session; take attendance and maintain records.
• Plan and lead daily activities and enrichment lessons appropriate for the age group.
• Facilitate homework time and support academic tasks as needed.
• Supervise students during free play, snack time, and transitions; maintain safety.
• Address minor conflicts using positive guidance techniques.
• Communicate with parents/guardians at pick-up/drop-off about their child’s day.
• Report incidents, injuries, or safety concerns to the Program Manager; log reports.
• Set up and clean up program space and materials daily.
• Attend brief daily team meetings to coordinate with other staff.
