Qualifications

Must be at least 16 years of age per DHS Rule 3.
Ability to work effectively with young children in a team-oriented environment.
Demonstrates dependability, patience, and strong communication skills.
Previous childcare experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist the Lead Teacher with supervising, observing, and instructing children according to curriculum and lesson plans.
Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
Support the developmental needs of each child across domains.
Complete classroom setup and cleanup duties as assigned.
Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
Observe children’s skills and communicate findings to the Lead Teacher.
Report significant observations regarding child development and classroom concerns.
Provide active supervision to ensure safety during activities.
Provide comfort, guidance, and support to children with patience and positive behavior.
