Job summary

Arizona Western College seeks a Part-time Child Development Learning Laboratory Teacher Aide to support CDLL lead teachers in planning and implementing activities for children. You will supervise in classroom, playground, and during field trips, promoting a safe, nurturing environment.

You'll collaborate with the head teacher and director, participate in ongoing professional development, and help maintain a positive home-school connection with families while meeting program needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children in preschool or related settings.
• Experience in an ADHS-licensed daycare center.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) certification.
• College coursework in Early Child Education.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Supervises children in classroom, on the playground, and field trips.
• Prepares materials required to implement daily plans and welcomes students observing or volunteering at the CDLL.
• Maintains a safe, healthy, nurturing, and orderly environment conducive to growth and development.
• Fosters home-center relationships and communicates with parents.
• Works with head teacher and director as part of a team.
• Continues professional development through in-service opportunities and trainings.
