Job summary

RESPITE CARE OF SAN ANTONIO is seeking a Part Time Child Care Assistant Teacher for PDO and FDO in San Antonio, TX. The role supports the Site Supervisor to create a fun, interactive learning enviroment and ensure children's basic needs are met. Starting wage is $15.00/hour with education and experience considered.

The position requires care experience, ability to pass background checks, and a HS diploma. Schedule: PDO Monday & Wednesday 8:30am-4:30pm; FDO Saturday 9am-4pm.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of direct care experience and/or childcare experience.
• At least 18 years of age and ability to pass background checks.
• High school diploma or equivalent and orientation training completion.
• Experience working with children with developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement plans designed by the teacher; assist with lesson planning and daily schedules.
• Arrange space, equipment, and materials in classroom and outdoors; maintain cleanliness.
• Support administrative paperwork including meal counts and incident reports.
• Supervise in the teacher's absence and assist with projects as directed.
• Engage children, promote developmentally appropriate skills, and guide behavior.
