Job summary

The City of Germantown, at the Germantown Athletic Club, is seeking a Child Care Attendant to provide childcare services for members' children using the club's facility.

You will sign children in/out, supervise activities, keep play areas clean, plan age-appropriate activities, handle complaints, assist with bathroom needs, and provide first aid as needed; CPR/AED certification or the ability to obtain it is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and understanding of good quality childcare.
• Creative, outgoing, flexible and energetic.
• Requires ability to communicate at all levels.
• Requires CPR/AED Certification or ability to obtain.
• Experience working in a childcare center preferred.
• 18 years of age or older preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sign children in and out following established procedures.
• Attentively watch and attend to children.
• Maintain clean, orderly areas, picking up as needed and sanitizing toys and equipment as instructed.
• Plan and organize activities appropriate for the various ages to create a fun, playful and safe environment.
• Handle complaints and comments and refer if necessary to proper management staff.
• Monitor and assist children with use of bathroom facility.
• Provide first aid as necessary.
