Job summary

Spokane Community College is seeking an adjunct Chemistry Instructor to teach 100-level chemistry courses, including labs, on the Spokane Main Campus. Courses may be in-person or partially online, not fully online.

The candidate will develop syllabi, provide timely feedback, and support students beyond scheduled hours while adhering to district and state policies. This role supports the college’s goals and a flexible, workload-driven schedule.

Responsibilities

• Teach 100-level chemistry courses, including lecture and laboratory instruction.

• Comply with district policies, procedures, and applicable regulations and contracts.
• Contribute to department efforts to improve student success and retention in chemistry.
• Support and advance Spokane Colleges' strategic plan and perform other duties as assigned.
