Lone Star College is seeking adjunct Chemistry instructors to teach courses at various times and locations. This part-time role involves developing engaging lessons and assessing student progress within the college framework.

Adjunct faculty teach on a semester basis, with a maximum of five classes per academic year, and classes are offered day, evening, and weekends at multiple sites, including Montgomery campus.

Qualifications

• Must hold a master's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or a chemistry-focused master's with 18 graduate hours.
• Commitment to effective teaching practices and student success.

Responsibilities

• Teaches Chemistry courses at a variety of times and locations.
• Creates engaging lessons to promote student involvement and application of material.
• Submits required college reports and forms timely.
• Uses a course syllabus and follows institutional guidelines.
• Meets with and advises students by appointment or electronically.
• Evaluates student progress and communicates outcomes promptly.
• Maintains professional relationships with students and colleagues.
• Attends required meetings, trainings, and orientations.
• Fulfills other related duties as assigned.
