Tarrant County College District (TCCD) seeks an adjunct instructor in Chemistry for the South Campus. The role supports students by leveraging college resources and technology to enhance learning and student success.

Reporting to the department instructional leader, the adjunct will teach across Dual Credit, On-Campus, Online, and Weekend College formats, with a focus on active learning and innovative teaching practices while maintaining rigorous standards and timely assessments.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Medicinal Chemistry
• Alternatively, Master’s degree with eighteen graduate hours in one of the listed disciplines
• Degree must be from a regionally accredited college or university

Responsibilities

• Teach classes across varied schedules and modalities (on-campus, online, dual credit, or weekend college) as assigned
• Accommodate student needs and expectations of the College
• Prepare and deliver instruction using the Master Syllabus and LMS
• Communicate with students and college officials via email, calls, and meetings
• Pursue activities to enhance subject matter expertise and teaching skills
• Prepare assignments and assessments to assure learning outcomes
• Maintain an active classroom environment conducive to student learning
• Keep attendance, enrollments, and grades per established deadlines
• Evaluate student performance and align with standards
• Provide regular feedback and timely grade postings
• Assign grades consistent with course requirements
• Assist in assessing student and program learning outcomes
• Accept assignments at other sites for dual credit courses
• Support College mission and policies
• Attend required trainings and professional development
