Job summary

AdventHealth seeks a Chaplain to provide spiritual care within a holistic care team in Lake Wales, FL. You will assess spiritual needs, offer pastoral counseling, and support patients, families, and staff with compassion.

Required is a Master’s in Divinity or related field and ACPE credentialing; 1+ year pastoral/chapplaincy is preferred. Benefits start Day One and a faith-based environment supports growth.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Divinity or equivalent for APC Board Certification.
• Experience in pastoral ministry or chaplaincy is preferred.
• Strong English reading, writing, and listening skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assess the spiritual needs of patients as part of a holistic care team.
• Provide pastoral care and emotional support to patients, families, and staff.
• Convey personalized care and respond to patient and family needs.
• Assist patients with moral, medical, and ethical decisions.
• Document spiritual activities in patient records per regulations.
• Mentor chaplain interns and residents as assigned.
• Participate in interdisciplinary conferences to coordinate care.
