Job summary

Marketplace Chaplains seeks a part-time chaplain to serve employees and their families at Louisville-area client sites. You will provide confidential pastoral care, visit worksites weekly, and support individuals through life events with grace and discretion.

This remote-position field role averages ~20 hours per month with flexible scheduling. You will coordinate with client organizations and the MCHAP Chaplains team to deliver compassionate spiritual care and crisis support as needed.

Qualifications

• Active listening and empathetic communication with clients and families.
• Ability to deliver community presentations.
• Diplomacy and courtesy with diverse groups under stress.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer proficiency with Google Suite / Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Visits company worksites regularly to build relationships and provide ministry support.
• Provides confidential pastoral discussions for employee and family issues.
• Assists with spiritual enrichment activities requested by clients.
• Supports funerals, bereavement care, and post-termination care as needed.
• Represents chaplain services to clients and participates in new employee orientation.
