Job summary

Volunteers of America Colorado is seeking a part-time Chapel Ministry Coordinator to lead spiritual programming and outreach at the VOAC Mission Chapel in Denver. The role includes scheduling, promoting events, and building relationships with program participants, staff, volunteers, and community members.

The coordinator will support ministry activities through trauma-informed care and contribute to community outreach.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness.
Commissioned or constituent minister of the Volunteers of America church, a minister of another Christian church or willing to become one within a year.
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead spiritual programming and outreach at the VOACO Mission Chapel.
Coordinate and schedule chapel services, open hours, and special events.
Promote chapel use internally and within the broader community.
Collaborate with ministers, staff, volunteers, and community partners to support chapel programming.
Engage in community outreach to increase participation in chapel activities.
Maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment within the Chapel.
