Job summary

Spring Branch Independent School District is seeking a part-time, certified tutor to deliver small group and individualized instruction in math, reading and science. The role reports to the principal and requires a Texas teaching certificate and at least three years of relevant experience.

Position details include 188 flexible days per year, 8 hours per week, and a wage of $30.00 per hour. This is a part-time, exempt instructional role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
• Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or out-of-state teaching certificate for the position is required.
• Certification must meet state/federal requirements to remain qualified.

Responsibilities

• Provide small group/individualized instruction in literacy, math, and science.
• Maintain records of each child to inform instruction.
• Confer with parents, students, principals and teachers to discuss progress and plan next steps.
• Communicate information accurately and clearly to stakeholders.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in staff development as required.
