Job summary
Woodlands Retirement Community in Huntington, WV is seeking a Part-time Certified Nursing Assistant for 7am-7pm shifts to provide quality nursing care to residents in a compassionate, safe environment.
The CNA will follow care plans, perform routine tasks, and collaborate with the health care team to support residents’ well-being and rights. CPR/First-Aid and WV NAC certification required; background checks will be performed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; WV state-approved NAC course preferred.
- Nursing Assistant Certification in WV; CPR and First-Aid certification required.
- Six months' prior CNA/aide experience in long-term care preferred.
- Background and drug tests required (Zero Tolerance).
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized attention to residents and promote well-being.
- Follow care plans and coordinate with charge nurse or care planning staff.
- Assist with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, toileting, and mobility.
- Maintain resident comfort, privacy, and dignity during care.
- Report changes in condition to licensed nursing staff promptly.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and unit responsibilities.
- Lift/move residents with proper body mechanics and safety procedures.
- Respond to call bells promptly and assist with resident activities.
